Welcome to Music at Edward Hyatt World Language Academy!

1-4th grade classes are taught General Music by Mr. Buntin once a week.  We focus primarily on singing and air piano based activities.  The 4th grade students also start experiencing the recorder.  5th grade students choose to participate in either Choir or Band.  5th Grade Band students learn Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, or Percussion.  6th, 7th, and 8th grade Band classes are held by Mr. Buntin three times a week.  6th, 7th, and 8th grade Band students learn Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, or Percussion. All Classes focus on State Teaching Standards such as singing, playing instruments, rhythms, pitch, creation, identification, listening skills, evaluation, music specific vocabulary, and other music symbols.

What instrument will you pick?

Voice, Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, Percussion, Violin, Viola, Cello, or Bass.

Hi, I'm Mr. Buntin!  Welcome to Band!  Have a degree from SDSU in Music Education and a Teaching Credential from Redlands University.  I love Mac n Cheese and hot sauce and I want to help you have a great experience this year learning music.
